I'm from a culture which doesn't practice circumcision (uh.. I almost wrote "genital mutilation of the infants"), except for the more devout members of Jewish & Muslim religion (the less devout ones don't bother). While many lucky males seem to escape circumcision without much loss of function, I did have a Muslim boyfriend whose glans was so desensitised by exposure, he could only get off through very rough sex and lots of pressure. I have nothing against rough sex :-), but it was both sad and disturbing to see someone sentenced to a life of impaired sexual function... Definitely against circumcision. I even shudder when I see small children with their ears pierced. What kind of parents would choose to uneccesarily hurt their child? Hmmm... I might reasearch more and do a post on circumcision...
