"These kids know too much and see to much these days."

TubeCams, I disagree. I don't think that knowledge is ever a bad thing. What I do wish would happen is *parents* taking the time to talk openly to their kids about everything, and taking the time to help them build a core set of values by talk and example. These last a lifetime, and are precious in helping to navigate all the input kids will be getting elsewhere no matter what parents do. I don't think that keeping kids ignorant about sexuality, relationships and their future interactions with the world as long as possible is a viable solution.

Remember, teenage years are a fairly recent development in history - only a short (historically speaking) time ago, people were getting married and starting to work when 14 or 15 years old, and living in communal rooms with their parents and siblings. They were able to witness birth, death, sex and daily living of adults all around them (except for the richest). The difference is they were getting this information first hand, from their family, with good, bad and the ugly, instead of the highly skewed version fed by Paris Hilton-esque media, retail & equally ignorant peers...

This is twisted. My gf has a 10 year old. There was a slumber party and I was scared to hear some of the shit they'd be talking about. These kids know too much and see to much these days. Fortunately, it wasn't too bad.

So to protest such items, you bought one and gave them money, thus further encouraging this? Just so you'd have a better photo for the blog?

You're not the only one to comment about it. Some women wrote a whole book about it. Lots of Mum's protest this s**t. It's grotesque on so many levels.
